Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 22, 2026

The short version

Fitbug is built to work entirely on your own device. We do not operate any servers that collect, store, or process your workout data. Everything you log in the app — your weight, reps, sets, progress graphs, estimated 1 rep max, and calories burned — stays on your phone.

Information we collect

Fitbug does not collect or transmit your personal fitness data to us or to any third party. We do not have accounts, servers, or a database that stores your workouts, so we simply have no access to what you log in the app.

How your data is stored

All data you enter into Fitbug — exercises, weights, reps, sets, and any progress calculated from them — is saved locally in the app’s storage on your device. It never leaves your device unless you choose to export it yourself.

Exporting and transferring your data

Fitbug includes an export option in Settings that lets you save a copy of your data. You can use this to back up your workout history, move it to a new device, or restore it after resetting your phone. Exported files are created and shared entirely by you — we do not receive a copy.

Data security

Because your data is stored only on your device, its security depends on the security of that device. We recommend using a device passcode or biometric lock and keeping your operating system up to date. If you export your data, keep the exported file somewhere safe, since you are responsible for it once it leaves the app.

Children’s privacy

Fitbug is not directed at children under 13, and since we do not collect any data from any user, we do not knowingly collect data from children either.
